Lipo 360

Sculpted from every angle
Liposuction isn’t always limited to removing fat from a single trouble spot. It may be more effective to improve the shape of the entire midsection during one treatment, especially for patients who want to treat their sides, front and back at the same time. Lipo 360 is a type of liposuction we use at PURE Plastic Surgery to treat the full circumference of the waist, giving you smooth contours and a beautiful hourglass figure.
We offer several different liposuction procedures in Miami, including Lipo 360, because we understand that every patient has different concerns that they would like to treat. When you schedule a consultation, we discuss all of these factors and more to find the right surgery for you.

What Is Lipo 360?
Piecemeal liposuction targets one area at a time. While that approach might work well for patients with isolated pockets of fat, like those on the arms or under the chin, those who want to contour their midsections will achieve better, more proportional results with Lipo 360.
Lipo 360 is a circumferential liposuction approach that targets the front, sides and back of the torso in a single procedure. It allows us to reduce fat around the full waistline with a more unified, sculpted result. The exact areas that we treat and the techniques that we use will depend on where the excess fat is located for each patient.

What Can Lipo 360 Address?
Lipo 360 can be used to reduce fat in multiple areas that contribute to bulk throughout the midsection. It can address concerns such as:
- Upper and lower abdomen fat that remains despite exercise
- Excess fat that creates "bra bulges"
- Flanks or “love handles" that widen the waistline
- Lower back fullness that affects how clothes fit

Ideal Candidates for Lipo 360
Lipo 360 can be a good option for people who want to reshape their waistline by reducing fat in several connected areas. It’s often chosen by those who want more thorough contouring than what traditional liposuction typically provides. At PURE Plastic Surgery, we typically recommend Lipo 360 for men and women who:
- Are in good general health
- Are close to their ideal body weight
- Have skin with good elasticity
- Do not smoke or are willing to stop before and after surgery
- Have realistic goals about what surgery can achieve
Lipo 360 is not a solution for major weight loss or loose skin. If you have significant skin laxity, especially after weight changes or pregnancy, other procedures may offer better results. We will evaluate your health history, anatomy and goals to determine whether this type of circumferential liposuction is the most appropriate choice.
What to Expect At Your Consultation
During your consultation, we will review your medical history, examine the areas you’d like to treat and determine whether Lipo 360 can help you with your goals. You will have the chance to ask questions about the procedure and expected results. Make sure to bring a list of medications or supplements you take regularly, as well as photos that show the kind of contouring you are looking for. Will will also discuss surgical planning, review before-and-after examples and go over pre-op and post-op instructions so you know what the full process involves.

What to Expect
During the Procedure
The procedure is done under general or local anesthesia, depending on your preferences and treatment plan, and typically takes a few hours to complete.
During your procedure, your surgeon will inject a tumescent solution to numb the area, minimize bleeding and make fat easier to remove. Once the area is numb, they'll make small incisions around the navel, flanks and lower back, inserting a thin cannula and moving it back and forth to dislodge and extract unwanted fat. Your waistline will be sculpted from different angles to ensure smooth transitions and balanced contours.
Once the right amount of fat has been removed, your surgeon will close the incisions. You’ll spend a short time in monitored recovery before heading home the same day. The incisions used are small, usually just a few millimeters in length, and we place them where they can be concealed whenever possible.

Lipo 360 Recovery
The initial recovery period after Lipo 360 typically lasts several days, with most of the swelling and soreness concentrated around the treated areas. Most patients can return to work within a week, as long as the job does not involve a lot of physical activity. You will need to wear compression garments for several weeks to reduce fluid buildup and encourage your body to settle into its new, slimmer contour.

Aftercare Following Lipo 360
You will receive specific instructions for your situation after your surgery, but aftercare instructions usually recommend that you:
- Wear your compression garment as instructed
- Avoid heavy lifting and strenuous activity until cleared
- Keep your incisions clean and dry to lower the risk of infection
- Stay hydrated and follow a balanced diet
- Come to all scheduled follow-up appointments

Side Effects and Risks of Lipo 360
Lipo 360 is a surgical procedure, and like any surgery, it carries certain risks. You can expect temporary swelling, bruising and tenderness. Other possible side effects may include fluid buildup, uneven contouring or prolonged numbness in treated areas. There is also a risk of infection or delayed healing, particularly if aftercare instructions aren’t followed closely. We’ll go over all potential risks in detail during your consultation and explain how we manage them throughout the surgical process.
Lipo 360 Results
The first changes from 360-degree liposuction can be seen once the swelling starts to go down, which usually begins within the first few weeks. You will see your final results as your body heals, with most patients seeing their full outcome around three to six months after surgery. To maintain your results, it’s important to keep a stable weight and follow the activity guidelines we provide. The fat removed during Lipo 360 will not return, but untreated areas can still change if your weight fluctuates.
