Non-surgical facelift with derma fillers and other injectables – liquid facelift
There is a face rejuvenation renaissance at PURE Plastic Surgery, and we are excited about the non-surgical options that significantly reduce the signs of aging by pumping up the skin and balancing the structure of the face using injectables, such as Juvederm®, Botox®, RHA, Sculptra®, Kybella®, Restylane® and Dysport®.
There are remarkable before and after photos of celebrities and influencers floating around social media who swear they have not had any plastic surgery, and the public wonders, “how is that possible?!” It is definitely possible to use injectables to change the features and structure of the face significantly with a qualified aesthetic practitioner or plastic surgeon – without any cutting! In fact, it is even possible to make noticeable improvements without others figuring out the patient had “work done”, but who may remark that the person looks well-rested, younger and happier.
For many years, facelifts were associated with women in their late 40’s to 60’s who used plastic surgery to turn back the hands of time. We are seeing younger patients in their 30’s and early 40’s who are looking for non-surgical ways to improve the areas of their face that cause insecurities as a proactive measure to counter the aging process. As the aging begins, many experience a change in skin elasticity and diminished facial tissue causing sagging and drooping in multiple areas of the face. Opting for a liquid facelift may include filling in the cheeks and raising the cheekbones, contouring the nose, plumping up lips and reducing wrinkles in the forehead, areas around the eyes and lips. By using various professional injection techniques, a liquid facelift can create drastic or subtle changes while adding volume to the face, and it works best on patients who have a minimal amount of sagging, wrinkles and age spots. This procedure can improve low cheekbones, weak chin, hollow temples, sagging eyebrows, Crow’s Feet, sagging jawline, thin lips, eye bags or hollows and jowls. It creates natural results that often restores the face to its younger appearance.
Neuromodulators – BOTOX® and Dysport®
Facial muscle movements can create lines, wrinkles and other aging markers in the face. Preventing these muscle movements with the use of neuromodulators, such as BOTOX® and Dysport®, can relax the facial muscle used to smile, laugh and show expression from the eyes, eyebrows, mouth and forehead.
What are dermal fillers and what do they do?
Hollow areas of the face can create the appearance of fatigue, anger and sadness in the face. Dermal fillers, like Juvederm®, RHA, Sculptra®, Kybella® and Restylane® fill in the hollow areas and creases that display emotions that may not be present – for example, looking sad or angry when you are neither. These products can add volume to the mouth, under eye areas and cheeks drastically improving the face’s expression.
How long is liquid facial procedure?
Depending on patient goals and needs, the procedures can range from 30 minutes to one (1) hour and may require several rounds to achieve desired results. The skilled practitioner will place injections in the face using microneedles and micro-cannulas in a sterilized office setting. Results are immediate and may take up to a week for a full recovery.
