Rhinoplasty

ENHANCE YOUR NOSE

Have you struggled with the appearance of your nose? You may consider a rhinoplasty procedure to help enhance the appearance of their nose, and in some cases, the function as well.

WHAT IS RHINOPLASTY?

One of the most popular procedures in the United States, rhinoplasty is also known as a “nose job”. This can be a strictly cosmetic procedure, a medically indicated procedure, or a combination of both. A septoplasty is a surgery done to the septum separating the left and right side of the nose to benefit airflow.

AM I A CANDIDATE?

There are countless reasons you might want to change the appearance of your nose. A few of the most common are:

  • A nose that’s too large or small for your face
  • A nasal bridge with a hump or bump
  • An abnormally wide nose
  • A protruding, overly large, bulbous or drooping nasal tip
  • Flared or pinched nostrils
  • A crooked or asymmetrical nasal structure

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Your satisfaction with your rhinoplasty relies heavily on communication between you and your doctor. Your initial consultation will be a deep dive into discussing the desired results you’d like, and what is best for your unique facial structure. Getting crystal clear by going over every step of the procedure will ensure you achieve the look you want.

Images of various noses may be used to help you understand the ideal shape, size, and profile you should consider.

RESULTS*

The rhinoplasty procedure is very complex and needs to be done by an experienced, trained surgeon. The rhinoplasty procedure helps not only cosmetically, but functionally, a highly trained surgeon will be able to give you a proportionate nose that remains functional. By working together, we can make sure to give you your desired results that will compliment your entire face and inspire confidence in you.

RECOVERY*

The first week of healing is key during your recovery period after your rhinoplasty. You will need to be very gentle around the face area to avoid harming your new nasal structure and interrupting the healing process. You’ll want to wear buttoned shirts, sleep with your head elevated, eat soft foods, take baths rather than showers, and avoid blowing your nose. You’ll also need to carefully change the gauze outside your nose.

Throughout this initial period, it’s normal to experience swelling, bruising and stuffiness. Though not the most comfortable (comparable to what it feels like when you have a cold), these effects are temporary and you will see them subside as you heal. Rhinoplasty is generally not painful, but instead could be considered uncomfortable. The day after your surgery, you’ll return to the office for your first post-operative appointment. A week after surgery, any internal and external dressings will be removed to evaluate your nose, assess your progress, and ensure that you’re healing properly. Any questions you may have will be answered also to ensure a safe and smooth recovery process.
