Are people constantly asking you if you’re tired or what’s bothering you? When suffering from droopy eyelids, it can create the appearance of looking exhausted or depressed, even if you’re feeling well-rested and in a happy mood.
The good news is that you do not have to simply accept this. Blepharoplasty, which is also known as an eyelid lift, can help to remove the excess fat and/or skin that has gathered below or above your eyelids. This helps to make you look more radiant and awake, as well as taking years off your appearance.
Blepharoplasty Overview
Blepharoplasty, also known as an eyelid lift, is a type of treatment that repairs droopy eyelids. This can involve removing excess fat, muscle, and skin.
The aim of this is to improve drooping or hooded eyelids or eye bags. For lower eyelid surgery, the treatment tends to involve incisions being made either inside the lower eyelid or just below the lower eyelashes. The fat will then be removed or repositioned, and sometimes a little amount of skin. The tendon and muscles of the eyelid will be supported if required, and then the incision will be closed.
With an upper eyelid lift, the incision is typically made along the eyelid crease in the natural skin fold of the eyelid.
